Gazan Exiles Stoke “Revolution” Against Hamas
Gazans are preparing for public protests against Hamas on June 26th in what is being touted as a grassroots “revolution” against the terror group. The Telegraph has the story.
The movement, which appears to have been started by Gazans in exile, is calling for surviving residents in the enclave to gather en masse.
“You will not break our spirits, nor will our resolve falter,” the group’s Facebook page says, reportedly referring to Hamas, which still governs the streets of Gaza.
“We are coming, we are coming, today or the day after tomorrow, and you are destined to fall and depart, gathered in the depths of hell and its darkness.”
The initiative to encourage Gazans to take to the streets is being run from the Facebook page called June 26th Revolution, and is rapidly gaining support from people both inside and outside Gaza, despite the danger posed by speaking out.
On Tuesday, a UN investigation reported that Hamas and police units in Gaza had beaten, maimed and publicly executed dozens of Palestinians in the Strip in the last two years.
The commission found that Hamas-affiliated terrorists and police forces were involved in nearly a quarter of the 249 cases it documented, including 108 deaths.
“These cases involved executions, kneecapping, bone-breaking with metal pipes or cement bricks and beatings and were framed by the perpetrators as punishments for alleged collaboration with Israel, looting humanitarian aid, theft, drug-related offences or affiliations with internal rivals,” the report said.
Dozens of people are posting supportive messages on the Revolution’s Facebook page.
The idea is that all Gazans should take to the streets on June 26th 2026 and demand that Hamas and the others running the Strip should put citizens’ interests above their own.
