“How likely is it that some U.S. officials were involved in a cover-up of China’s role in the COVID-19 pandemic?”

A majority of US voters suspect that federal officials concealed the role that China played in the origins of how the Covid-19 virus led to the pandemic, according to a new poll from Rasmussen Reports.

The report from the pollster said that 63 percent of likely US voters that participated in a telephone as well as online surveys said that it’s likely that US officials were involved in a cover-up of China’s role in the pandemic outbreak. 43 percent of those who said it was likely said that the possibility was “very likely.”

25 percent of those polled said they do not believe it is likely including 15 percent that said it is not at all likely. 13 percent of those polled in the survey said they are not sure. Three years ago, the percent that thought US officials were involved in a Covid-19 cover-up was 66 percent.

The wording of the question was, “How likely is it that some U.S. officials were involved in a cover-up of China’s role in the COVID-19 pandemic?” The survey included 1,060 likely US voters and had a sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

In addition to believing that US officials engaged in a cover-up relating to the origins of Covid-19, a plurality (43 percent) of likely voters in the survey said that they do not think that Dr. Anthony Fauci has told the truth to the American people about the US government funding gain-of-function research as well. 36 percent of those that took the survey said he has told the truth about the subject and 21 percent are not sure.
