'WIPE OUT EVERY REPUBLICAN': Dem Texas State Rep Jolanda Jones uses violent rhetoric against conservatives in concerning CNN appearance

“If you hit me in my face, I’m not going to punch you back in your face. I’m going to go across your neck,”

Texas Democrat State Rep. Jolanda Jones said that she would go for the “necks” of Republicans during an interview on CNN. Jones was talking about her strategy to deal with Republican lawmakers as well as the Trump administration as the Texas GOP has been working to redistrict the state.

“I’m from the hood, okay? So when a bully comes like, if there are no rules, you mentally have to figure it out. So, Donald Trump has changed things, and people trying to do what’s always been done is not going to work. And I think that’s why Democrats are losing black people, that’s why they’re losing poor people, because poor people, all they want is for us to fight. So if you hit me in my face, I’m not going to punch you back in your face. I’m going to go across your neck,” Jones said, as she made a slashing motion across her neck.

“You got to hit hard enough where they won’t come back. And so yeah, for the same way I went to New York and spoke with Governor Kathy Hochul, and said, if they’re going to try to wipe us out in Texas, we need to wipe out every Republican in New York, in California, in Illinois. So no one can make me feel bad about fighting for the people that I represent, because the people that I represent need someone who’s willing to go in the ring and fight for them.”

Burnett had asked Jones about her views on competing against the GOP in redistricting. Jones said she did not want to go by the mantra, “When they go low, we go high,” that has been previously been used by former First Lady Michelle Obama, and recently said she rejected that, and that if Republicans “go low, “I’m going to the gutter.”

Jones said she has “never subscribed to that” saying because she is from “the hood,” and that if you go high in the hood, “they’re gonna take your feet out from under you, and you will not recover from that.”

The state lawmaker previously compared the GOP redistricting effort by Republicans to the Holocaust, and later had to apologize for the statement, calling it a “mistake” that she said the redrawing of congressional lines was similar to the slaughtering of millions of Jews in Germany.

On CNN, she also claimed that people are “being wiped off of their Medicaid and Medicare” and that Trump is “stealing our Social Security.” The comments drew backlash, as there have been a number of left-wing attacks and incidents of violence over the past couple months, including the assassination of Charlie Kirk, an Antifa-linked shooting of a police officer in Texas at an ICE facility, and multiple others.

Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet posted the clip and said, “SICK. Democrat Texas State Rep Jolanda Jones says she’s going to come for the ‘necks’ and ‘wipe out’ every Republican.”

He then added, “This is the exact type of rhetoric that got Charlie murdered BY A SHOT TO THE NECK!!” In a separate post, he said that the media “would lose their minds” in the comments Jones made on CNN were instead leaked text messages.
