Trump admin launches new Moms.gov website with pregnancy support resources – LifeSite
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The Trump administration announced over Mother’s Day weekend the launch of Moms.gov, a new information resource for new and expectant mothers seeking pregnancy and parenting assistance.
The website offers a one-stop collection of resource links, including locations for pregnancy centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers, nutrition and dietary guidelines, Trump Account enrollment, the TrumpRx prescription medication website, conscience protections in health care, information about preconception health, breastfeeding, Fertility Awareness-Based Methods, adoption, mental health, and more.
“This Mother’s Day, the Trump Administration is strengthening its commitment to America’s families by equipping mothers and fathers with the resources and information they need to build healthy, prosperous lives,” Secretary of Health & Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said. “Moms.gov delivers critical tools and support to help parents foster healthy pregnancies, strengthen young families, and create brighter futures for their children. This is how you Make America Healthy Again.”
“On Mother’s Day, we recognize that the health of mothers and the health of women are deeply connected,” Deputy Assistant Secretary for Women’s Health Dr. Dorothy Fink added. “Through our Perinatal Improvement Collaborative, we have reduced maternal mortality by 41.5%. We remain committed to supporting women’s health throughout motherhood and at every stage of life.”
Kennedy added that Moms.gov is “one-stop shopping for IVF, for prenatal care, for postnatal care, for nutrition, for baby formula,” though, as of this writing, in vitro fertilization is not specifically mentioned on the site. He framed it as a “huge win for the MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) movement, and for the pro-life movement” despite the fact that IVF entails killing millions of “excess” unborn children.
The announcement follows a meeting held Friday between the White House and pro-life leaders amid mounting dissatisfaction with President Donald Trump’s handling of abortion issues. Details about the meeting have not come out, but a spokesperson for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, whose president Marjorie Dannenfelser recently declared that “Trump is the problem,” said simply, “Marjorie had a very constructive meeting at the White House today.”
While the new website is a welcome tool for helping pregnant women choose life (barring any future IVF additions), no substantive changes relating specifically to abortion policy have been announced since the meeting.
The main point of contention is mail distribution of abortion pills, which has been critical to preserving abortion “access” and undermining pro-life state laws, ever since the Biden administration both eliminated the in-person dispensing requirement and stopped enforcing the federal law against distributing abortifacients through the postal system.
As part of shifting to a more “moderate” position on abortion during his 2024 campaign, Trump has so far refused to reverse those policy changes.
In May 2025, the Trump administration promised to review the data on abortion pill dangers, giving hope of reversal of its stance, but nearly a year without updates has prompted frustration among pro-lifers, with Republican U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri going so far as to question if the study is underway at all. Administration officials insist that review is still coming, though frustrated pro-lifers have said that a new official finding on the pills’ safety should not be necessary to restore enforcement of the federal law against mailing abortion pills across state lines.
The fight intensified recently when the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals sided with Louisiana and temporarily blocked the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) mail-order abortion pill rule, but the U.S. Supreme Court subsequently put a stay on that order while the justices consider the matter, allowing the pills to resume.
Some have described FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary as the root cause of the administration’s lack of progress on abortion pills. Several media outlets have reported that Trump recently approved a plan to fire Makary, though Trump has denied knowledge of any such plan and maintains the commissioner is “doing fine.”
