Well, well, well.
It turns out the “trust the science” crowd forgot to mention that the science came with a financial incentive package — and Illinois hospitals were first in line at the trough. In a stunning but unsurprisingly quiet move, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., advised by none other than Dr. Mehmet Oz, just repealed a Biden-era policy buried deep inside the Medicare reimbursement labyrinth.
This wasn’t some minor paperwork tweak. This was the decapitation of one of the most sinister tools used to enforce pharmaceutical loyalty over patient care: the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services vaccine reporting mandate tied to hospital “quality metrics.”
Translation for the average Illinoisan? Hospitals were being paid to coerce, intimidate, and ultimately terminate healthcare workers who refused the jab. And if you thought your hospital cared about your health — think again. They cared about their federal reimbursement checks.

As Anthony Fauci — who got COVID-19 despite six shots — cockily boasted: “It’s been proven that when you make it difficult for people in their lives, they lose their ideological bullshit and they get vaccinated.”
Authoritarian government bureaucrats and woke CEOs had their marching orders from Fauci: go forth and coerce.
Fast-forward to July 2025: I have just joined the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as its chief of staff. One of OCR’s most important missions is to protect the civil, conscience, and religious freedom rights of all Americans from authoritarian diktats imposed upon Americans by recipients of HHS funds.
Lawsuit Filed to Reduce Asthma-Causing Air Pollution in Three States
The Center for Biological Diversity reported:
The Center for Biological Diversity and Sierra Club filed a lawsuit today challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) failure to ensure that counties in three states have effective plans for cleaning up sulfur dioxide air pollution. Approximately 40,000 people in Arizona, Tennessee and Texas live in the areas at issue in this lawsuit, with sulfur dioxide pollution at levels that harm human health and the environment.
“The Trump EPA’s needless, illegal delay in tackling sulfur pollution is poisoning the air that thousands of people breathe,” said Ryan Maher, an attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity. “It’s a brazen handout to big industry polluters and fossil fuel companies, sacrificing the health of vulnerable people for corporate profits.”
The Clean Air Act requires the EPA to set national ambient air quality standards to protect people and the environment from pollutants like sulfur oxides. When those standards are violated, the agency must ensure that states have valid plans in place to clean up the pollution.
“This pollution harms people in the worst ways possible,” said Zachary Fabish, a Sierra Club attorney. “It’s imperative that Trump’s EPA uphold its duty to protect the public’s health by acting immediately, as the law requires.”
RFK Jr. ‘Reviewing’ Ouster of Preventive Task Force Members
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Monday he is “reviewing” whether to remove all members of an influential advisory committee that offers guidance about preventive health services.
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is composed of medical experts who serve four-year terms on a volunteer basis. They are appointed by the HHS secretary and are supposed to be shielded from political influence.
The task force reviews reams of scientific evidence to make recommendations on services such as cancer screenings, HIV prevention medications and more. It makes its recommendations using a grading scale, and ObamaCare requires insurers to cover services the task force recommends with a “grade” of A or B at no cost to patients.
The Wall Street Journal first reported late last month that Kennedy was considering firing the panelists because they were too “woke.”
RFK Jr. Says Donald Trump Keeps Hounding Him on the Phone With Same Question
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr claimed Donald Trump is a chronic caller. At a press conference on Monday, Kennedy revealed Trump calls him “three or four times a week” to check in on his administration’s health agenda.
Kennedy claimed he always asks the same question: “Why aren’t people healthier yet?”
Kennedy, a controversial health figure known for his scepticism on vaccines, was speaking alongside state governors and cabinet officials to promote a new policy aimed at curbing the purchase of soda and candy with food stamps.
The initiative is part of Trump’s so-called “Make America Healthy Again,” or MAHA campaign, a riff on his original 2016 “Make America Great Again” slogan. “We have full support from the president,” Kennedy told reporters. “He wants this done. He promised to make America healthy again, and he’s gonna do that.”
