(LifeSiteNews) — A Spanish summer camp for kids hosted by a transgender activist who had boasted in the past about wanting to “indoctrinate children” is under fire after children were purportedly forced to shower nude with camp counselors. The same camp, it has since been revealed, was already under investigation for allegations of sexual abuse.

The Basque cultural camp, organized by Euskal Udalekuak and put on by the non-profit Sarrea Euskal Udalekua Elkartea, was held in the village of Bernedo from August 8 to 23. The camp website claimed that the purpose of the program was to “help children live in Basque, to show that Basque is a useful tool for everyday life, and bring together children from all over Basque territory so that they can take home from summer camps the richest possible view of Basque and Basque culture.”

According to the children who attended, however, that is not what happened. Counselors bathed nude in front of the children, walked about topless, smoked marijuana — and much worse.

In September, Reduxx noted, the Spanish media “reported that several children attending the Bernedo camp had written letters to their parents describing inappropriate and sexualized situations allegedly initiated by their counselors.” Cell phones were confiscated upon arrival to the camp, and so the children could only inform their parents about what was going on by writing to them. Parents discovered that the camp was not merely focusing on Basque culture but promoting “sexual diversity” from a “transfeminist” point of view.

According to Reduxx:

One young girl reportedly wrote to her mother claiming that campers were forced to shower in mixed-sex facilities alongside naked adult counselors. According to the letter, the counselors said the purpose was to help children overcome body shame and promote “sex-positive education.”

The children reportedly rebelled against the order to shower together and created their own sex-segregated schedule. According to reports, the boys and girls refused to enter the showers when members of the opposite sex were present, waiting until the others had finished before taking their turn.

Activities at the camp included both the deliberate destruction of innocence, grooming, and sexual abuse. Letters stated that the mirrors at the camp were painted over to promote “body positivity”; one featured instead a sketch of a nude woman spreading her legs and issuing an invitation to oral sex. Reduxx reported that “one child was allegedly forced to suck a counselor’s toe, while another was made to ‘drop his pants and show his buttocks to the entire camp.’ Children who participated in these ‘games’ were reportedly rewarded with food.”

The media is now reporting that allegations have dogged the camp for years. One 15-year-old boy said that counselors “talked to us about whether they were homosexual … and they asked me what I liked … There was a boy who didn’t want to undress to shower, and the monitor pulled down his underwear.”

Reduxx revealed that the “top director of the organization” running the village camp is actually a non-binary trans activist named Aner Peritz Manterola, a singer and performer who has stated that his own experience in the camp introduced him to the art that turned him “transfeminist” and that he has “queered” children in the past. He also calls himself a “unicorn,” which “within the Spanish queer community refers to having multiple open and polyamorous relationships.”

Earlier this year, in an essay titled “Children and Gender Essentialism,” Peritz emphasized that “queering” children is one of his goals. He writes:

(T)his way of thinking about birth identities is pathologizing, stigmatizing, and queerphobic,” and that society forces “cisheteronormativity” onto children via a system of brutality and socialization, not nature. Just as we have learned that macho violence is answered with transfeminist violence — and not with some general, neutral, assimilative peace — we also know that heterosexual education is answered with transmaribollo education (education from trans and queer perspectives).

Call it indoctrination. We want to carry out transmaribollo indoctrination, and we are ready to do it. It wasn’t a joke; the echoes were right — we do want to ‘make your children queer’ (we usually don’t have children ourselves), so that you won’t heterosexualize them as you did to us. You didn’t completely succeed. And we, too, have teaching degrees.

The camp, however, has pushed back against parental outrage and the anger sparked by media reports, referring to some of the criticism as “transphobic” and countering allegations of sexual impropriety by stating that the camp creates “safe spaces for all identities and bodies” and that “We work from this (transfeminist) perspective, breaking down gender stereotypes and viewing the discomfort that differences can generate as an educational opportunity.” The camp even defended the forced communal showering:

Every activity at summer camps is a tool to cultivate coexistence, autonomy, and mutual care, including showers. These, beyond being a simple space for hygiene, are also an opportunity to normalize all bodies, break stigmas, and free ourselves from shame and sexualization. In our society, bathrooms and showers are a tool to divide people according to a binary and gender logic. This division, in addition to excluding different bodies and identities, causes situations of discomfort and discrimination.

But unsurprisingly, authorities have already been investigating the camp since December 2024 over allegations of the “sexual assaults of minors” reported by a social worker on behalf of three foster children who had attended. That investigation is ongoing. On October 6, Reduxx reported, “the Basque regional government also confirmed that the youth group had broken the law and was never even formally registered to operate.” The camp was permitted to run in 2025 despite the ongoing investigation into sexual abuse. With the recent allegations, Basque police are now investigating a total of 12 allegations.

This may seem shocking, but it shouldn’t be. As I detail in Chapters 1 and 2 of my recent book How We Got Here: A Guide to Our Anti-Christian Culture, the explicitly stated goal of the sexual revolutionaries and the LGBT movement is the indoctrination and sexualization of children. Drag Queen Story Hour; Gay Straight Alliance Clubs; LGBT curriculum — all of it was created for the purpose of “queering” kids. The reality is that the sexual revolutionaries have always been groomers, and a brief glance at the sordid history of this movement makes that clear. Camps like this should not just be investigated. They should be shut down.
