Lesbian Democrat ‘pastor’ calls for ‘Third Testament’ because some Bible passages
(LifeSiteNews) — A far-left female “pastor” has blasphemously called for a “Third Testament” to be written because she believes parts of the Bible are “problematic” and even “dangerous.”
In a recently unearthed video clip that has gone viral on social media platform X, Yvette Flunder demands the removal of certain Scripture passages that she claims are contrary to the Word of God and represent “bad theology.”
“And people will say, ‘Well, it’s in the book.’ And I said, ‘Then we need to pull that page out…’ But is it the Word of God? No. It is not the Word of God,” she remarked.

Flunder, who is 70, is the lesbian founder of the City of Refuge United Church of Christ in Oakland, California. She has been active in Democratic politics for decades. During the Obama presidency, she served as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. On 2014, she was a keynote speaker at the White House World AIDS Day observance. She has also worked with the far-left Human Rights Campaign.
Flunder’s attack on the infallible Word of God was ridiculed far and wide on social media. Many X users pointed to 1 Timothy 3:16-17, which says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
In the video, Flunder cloaked her dissension as something she is compelled to do out of love. She expressed irritation specifically over two Bible verses, Ephesians 6:5 and 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, which talk of how slaves should be obedient to their masters and how women need to stay silent in churches.
“Now I’m a believer. My whole heart, I trust God with my whole heart. I wake up in the morning talking to God and God talking to me,” she said. “But I am completely frustrated with the ways in which the text speaks to the kind of vitriolic God that makes those kinds of things.”
Flunder is not alone in attacking the Word of God. 36-year-old Texas state Rep. James Talarico (D) has waged war against the Bible during his campaign for U.S. Senate.
He has also claimed that the Bible is silent about abortion and same-sex “marriage.” When asked to give a prayer as a “pastor” at the Texas Legislature, he began by saying, “Holy mystery, you have so many names.” Then he declared simply that “God is love.” In 2021, Talarico blasphemously declared that “God is both masculine and feminine, and everything in between. God is nonbinary.”

Talarico and Flunder represent an emerging trend within the Democratic Party that seeks to distort the Bible to justify their leftist talking points. Flunder is currently the “Presiding Bishop“ of The Fellowship, which is a “multi-denominational fellowship of over 110 primarily African American Christian churches that practice radical inclusivity.” Flunder started The Fellowship to be “a global, trans-denominational coalition of Christian churches and ministries, which is self-governing, self-supporting, and a site of accountability and nurturing for communities on the margin.”
