Elon Musk publicly endorsed a call for Charlie Kirk to be named “Person of the Year” after replying “Yes” to a viral post on X praising the Turning Point USA founder. Musk’s comment appeared under a November 24 post from user @Sassafrass_84, who wrote, “Charlie Kirk should be the person of the year. You can’t change my mind,” alongside an image of Kirk with the caption, “We still remember. We’re still fighting.”

Musk’s reply, posted around 4 pm on Tuesday, quickly drew attention as the platform’s owner offered direct support for the suggestion.

The post had over 7,400 views shortly after being published.

Musk himself was previously named TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2021, for his leadership at Tesla and SpaceX and for reshaping multiple industries. Person of the Year discussions typically intensify heading into December.
