The Green leader liked messages which said Sir Keir was receiving money from “Zionist philanthropists” and asked “how much does Israel pay him?”

All of the remarks were posted on Bluesky, a Left-wing social media network that was set up to rival Elon Musk’s X, within the past six months.

A Green Party spokesman said: “Zack makes no apology for highlighting the close relationship between Israel and the Labour Government, which has led to Labour and Keir Starmer arming and supporting a genocide, a bit more of an issue than liking some social media posts.”

The Greens are embroiled in an antisemitism scandal over remarks made by the party’s candidates for the local elections on May 7th.

The Telegraph revealed last week how one person standing for the party referred to Jewish people as “cockroaches”, while others spread conspiracy theories about the October 7th attacks and referred to Zionism as “the Nazism of our time”.

Polanski, who is Jewish, has said that he has been the victim of antisemitic abuse, including last week, while on the campaign trail.

He told broadcasters on Sunday that during a recent rally in Hastings, “someone did a Nazi salute in my direction”, adding: “This is not an abstract, philosophical conversation for me.”

The Green leader is a prolific user of Bluesky, and has liked nearly 35,000 posts on the site since April 1st 2025, an analysis by the Economist found.

Among the posts he liked was one on November 9th 2025 in response to an interview he had given, in which he said he would not work with Sir Keir.

The poster, using the handle Urris, wrote: “Well said, Zack Polanski.

“Starmer and his corrupt Cabinet receive large sums of money from Zionist ‘philanthropists’ and private healthcare who, apparently, don’t expect anything in return…”

It attracted two likes, one of which was from Polanski’s verified account. The Green leader also liked a similar post which went up on April 24th 2026.

The post, by user falconer59, said: “What a disgrace Starmer clinging to the same old trope,” adding: “How much does Israel pay him?”

Mr Polanski’s account was the only account to like it.

A day earlier, the Green leader also appears to have liked a third post on the site which suggested Labour was being paid by Jewish people.

The post was by ChayBristol, whose account appears to have since been deleted.

It read: “The ‘Labour Friends of Israel’ and their paymasters seem rattled. Starmer has to go, everyone knows it, he is just clutching at desperate straws to delay the inevitable.”

Labour Friends of Israel is a group of MPs and peers within the party who work to strengthen ties between Britain and Israel.
