Yvette Cooper didn’t name which local councils will carry out inquiries into Muslim rape gangs before local elections – coincidence?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced in January that instead of a national inquiry in the Muslim rape gangs, there would be five government-backed local council inquiries.

To date, only one council has been named – Oldham.  The other four had not been named before the local elections held yesterday, which Reform UK has taken by storm – coincidence?

Regardless of what councils Cooper might name in the future, if ever, the purpose of downgrading the national inquiry to local inquiries is so that no one is held accountable for these heinous crimes.

The documentary ‘Groomed: A National Scandal’ was aired on Channel 4 on Wednesday night. It features five young women who survived unimaginable abuse and rape, telling their stories of a gang grooming that spanned 20 years. It also highlights the failures of police and social services in addressing these issues.

“It is a searing piece of journalism, a fearless document of the barbarism of the rape gangs and the unforgivable nonchalance of officials who looked the other way,” The Spectator said.

However, Raja Miah, who has spent six years leading a small team that has exposed how politicians have protected the Muslim rape gangs, said:  “What you saw on Channel 4 last night was just a snapshot. The truth is actually far darker. And it runs deeper than most dare to admit. Yes, this is a national scandal. But Groomed: A National Scandal only showed you a fraction of what is really taking place and what is actually at stake.”

The culture of silence, cowardice and cover-up that still exists today.  Instead of conducting a national inquiry, the Government has pushed the responsibility of investigating the rape gangs to local councils.  These local inquiries, which may not have the necessary powers to requisition evidence and summon witnesses, Miah explained.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced plans for five government-backed local inquiries into grooming gangs in January 2025.  To date, only one inquiry has been set up – in Oldham, Greater Manchester. Deflecting responsibility onto local councils and dragging their heels in setting up inquiries is merely a symptom of a much larger problem.

The rape gang scandal has been ongoing for decades with the crimes being carried out in at least 50 British towns and cities. 100,000 young girls, some as young as 11, have been systematically raped, trafficked and abused by organised gangs of Pakistani men, Miah said.  And the authorities, including the police, have failed to protect the victims.  Miah gave an example of a 12-year-old girl being arrested by police after being raped.

These Pakistani rape gangs have “the ear of the Labour Party,” he said.  Jess Phillips, Under-Secretary of State for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls, and her Labour Party colleagues are trying to cover up the scandal, with Phillips shutting down calls for a national inquiry and instead proposing five local inquiries.

Miah believes that the local inquiries into the rape gangs will be a box-ticking exercise, with Phillips and other politicians – including Minister of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government Jim McMahon (Labour), MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth Debbie Abrahams (Labour), Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham (Labour) and Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner (Labour) – not expecting anyone to be held accountable.

The government’s approach to the rape gang scandal is one of distortion, deflection and refusal to acknowledge the truth. Taking things in the round, the Government’s handling of the scandal is a deliberate attempt to rewrite history and deflect responsibility.

On the eve of the local elections, at Prime Minister’s Questions Keir Starmer and Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch clashed over the rape gang scandal. Badenoch reiterated the Conservatives’ call for a national inquiry into the scandal while Starmer accused the Conservatives of not addressing it when they were in government.  Why was Starmer again trying to deflect blame rather than shed light on the perpetrators?

Because the postal voting on demand system introduced by Tony Blair, then Prime Minister (Labour), in 2001 has enabled wholesale organised voting fraud that has been exploited in areas with high Muslim populations.  These fraudulent votes are used to place people into political decision-making roles who are favourable to protecting the rape gangs and other organised crime groups from investigation and prosecution.

While these organised crime groups are influencing elections at every level with fraudulent postal votes, investigations, such as local inquiries, into the gangs and those who protect them will remain a tick-box exercise.  The rape gang scandal demonstrates why local elections, which traditionally have a low turnout, are just as important as general elections.  Until Blair’s postal voting on demand system is stopped, the only way to beat the gangs is for the rest of us to vote in person in such large numbers that the postal votes become less significant and cannot be used to “elect” politicians.

Commenting on the local elections held yesterday for which the votes were still being counted, Miah said: “I see that Reform UK are likely to take control of Lancashire County Council. Those of you familiar with the Pakistani rape clans will know all about towns such as Nelson and Colne where little white girls were trafficked to be gang raped.”

I see that @reformparty_uk are likely to take control of @LancashireCC. Those of you familiar with the Pakistani Rape Clans will know all about towns such as Nelson and Colne where little White girls were trafficked to be gang raped.

I’m sure that once in control of the Council,…

Later in the day, after Miah’s tweet, it was confirmed that Reform UK took control of Lancashire County Council.  However, regarding how effective the inquiries into the rape gangs are, it will depend to some extent on which Party is controlling the councils that the Home Secretary selects to conduct an inquiry.  Notably, Cooper did not announce which councils would be holding inquiries before the local elections.  Is her delayed decision just a coincidence?  Or, before making its selection, is the Government waiting to see which councils it controls?

For the reasons Miah explained in his video above, the local inquiries into rape gangs will not result in people being held accountable for these atrocious crimes – which is perhaps the intention.  The only hope of justice or light being shed on the enormity of the crimes is for a national inquiry to be held.  Additionally, these gangs have been operating in 50 towns and cities, not just 5 yet to be named councils. So, we must keep the pressure on our MPs.  To this aim, Open Justice UK has prepared a template for an email you can send to your MP, which you can choose to personalise, and an AI writing tool will write the email for you. Without any personalisation, the template reads as below.

Ask Your MP to Support A National Inquiry Into Grooming Gangs

I am writing to urge you to support a national inquiry into grooming gangs, a matter of grave concern that affects communities across the UK.

Local investigations have revealed a fragmented and inconsistent response to this issue, making it difficult to identify national patterns of offending and systemic failures. Despite important findings from the Jay Report, Casey Report, and IICSA, there appears to be a lack of accountability and meaningful reform within institutions tasked with protecting our most vulnerable citizens.

Furthermore, the politicisation of ethnicity and cultural dynamics surrounding this issue has impeded open discussion and transparency. Many survivors do not feel heard or protected, leading to a crisis of trust in the authorities. Recent evidence suggests that the problem persists, highlighting the urgent need for a coordinated national approach.

A national inquiry would provide a platform for survivors, ensure accountability, and create a national action plan based on evidence to prevent future occurrences. It is crucial that we address this issue comprehensively to rebuild trust in our institutions and safeguard our communities.

I appreciate your attention to this pressing matter and hope you will advocate for the inquiry we desperately need.

While previously it was a hobby culminating in writing articles for Wikipedia (until things made a drastic and undeniable turn in 2020) and a few books for private consumption, since March 2020 I have become a full-time researcher and writer in reaction to the global takeover that came into full view with the introduction of covid-19. For most of my life, I have tried to raise awareness that a small group of people planned to take over the world for their own benefit. There was no way I was going to sit back quietly and simply let them do it once they made their final move.
