(LifeSiteNews) — The British Royal Family appears to have officially endorsed the LGBT agenda this month.

It is merely a forty-second video posted to X, but it is significant nonetheless:

The U.K. Royal Family’s X account posted a clip of the Coldstream Guards playing Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan – widely recognized as an LGBT anthem – with the hashtag #Pride2025 along with emojis of a rainbow, sparkles, and a disco ball to mark London Pride. This is the first time the Royal Family has publicly acknowledged the annual event of the LGBT movement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – the widely loathed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – have previously celebrated “pride” month, posting to their Instagram account: “This month we pay tribute to the accounts supporting the LGBTQ+ community – those young and old, their families and friends, accounts that reflect on the past and are hopeful for a deservedly more inclusive future. We stand with you and support you. Because it’s very simple: love is love.”

Prince William, the heir to the British throne, has also indicated his support for the LGBT movement, appearing on the cover of the LGBT publication Attitude and stating: “The young gay, lesbian and transgender individuals I met through Attitude are truly brave to speak out and to give hope to people who are going through terrible bullying right now. Their sense of strength and optimism should give us all encouragement to stand up to bullying wherever we see it.”

Still, the video and the gesture – coming from an official Royal social media account – has been recognized as significant moment by LGBT activists. The “Happy Pride!” message is being seen as an endorsement by King Charles of the LGBT carnival in London, which attracts over a million people for the procession from Hyde Park Corner to Whitehall Place. It is a massive show of cultural power in the capital of a once-great empire, and even the king, it seems, feels the need to bow the knee.

It seems likely that the Royal Family is taking a new approach with the new reign. Prince Harry, with his performative progressivism and American actress wife, is now primarily seen as an embarrassment by the rest of The Firm, but Prince William holds many of the same views. The royal heir, like most of his generation, is irreligious. King Charles values the beauty of the U.K.’s religious heritage, but his own views appear to be scattered and heterodox at best.

The late Queen Elizabeth II, on the other hand, was a devout Christian who carefully selected the Order of Service for her funeral to ensure that it would become the most widely watched declaration of the Gospel in history. The queen never acknowledged “pride” month, and one suspects her personal modesty, dignity, and decorum also prevented her from celebrating an event that features exhibitionist displays of adult nudity and public acts of sexual fetishism.

Her death, however, marked the end of an era, and much has been made of plans by the king and the crown prince to “modernize” the monarchy.

It is not surprising, but it is sad to see a great institution debase itself. The king, however, may merely be following the lead of the Church of England, which has been engaged in a policy of suicidal syncretism with the LGBT movement for years. High-profile clergy regularly make statements in favor of the LGBT movement, and back in 2018 it was announced that baptism-style ceremonies would be offered for trans-identifying people to assist them in celebrating their “new identities.”

Gone are the bold men of God who discipled the royals with the courage to speak truth to power; most are now slaves to the spirit of the age. The comments below the video posted by the Royal Family reveal the futility of the gesture, with scores both celebrating the statement while calling for the abolition of the monarchy.

The staunchest defenders of ancient institutions despise their colonization by the LGBT movement; the royal social media post, however, proves once again that the sexual revolution has definitively triumphed.

God save the king.
