Trump blasts Israel for striking Iranian gas field, threatens to blow it up if Iran retaliates against Qatar again

The US, “with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.”

On Wednesday night, President Donald Trump threatened to “blow up” Iran’s South Pars gas field if the regime continues attacks on Qatari energy infrastructure.

In the statement, Trump said that Israel recently carried out a strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, one of the largest natural gas reserves in the world, describing the move as a reaction “out of anger” over broader regional developments. He characterized the damage as limited, emphasizing that only “a relatively small section” of the facility was hit.

Trump also insisted that the United States had “no knowledge” of the Israeli strike beforehand and said Qatar was “in no way” involved. According to the post, Iran did not have full information about the situation and subsequently launched a retaliatory strike, targeting a portion of Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure.

The alleged attack on Qatar, a US ally and one of the world’s leading LNG exporters, marks a significant escalation, placing global energy markets and regional stability at risk. Trump described Iran’s response as “unjustifiable and unfair,” arguing it was carried out without a proper understanding of the events surrounding the South Pars strike.

Trump added that no further Israeli strikes would take place unless Iran escalates the situation further by targeting Qatar again. The president noted that he does not want to authorize that level of destruction due to the “long-term implications” for the region, but made clear he would not hesitate if provoked.

“NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar – In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.”

The South Pars field, shared between Iran and Qatar, is a cornerstone of global natural gas supply, and any major disruption, especially amid reported strikes on Qatar’s LNG facilities, could have far-reaching economic consequences.
