RFK Jr.’s New Vaccine Testing Rule Agitates Industry, Experts
When the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a new requirement for placebo testing on all new vaccines last week, the agency suggested the move would help protect consumers. But medical experts and vaccine makers say wide application of the rule would be an unnecessary drain on time and money, while raising ethical questions by depriving some patients of safe vaccines that could protect them from disease.
Akiko Iwasaki, former president of the American Association of Immunologists and director of the Yale School of Medicine Center for Infection and Immunity, told The Hill “it’s unethical to put people on a placebo arm when there is an existing vaccine for a trial like this.” According to an HHS spokesperson, the rule announced last week means “all new vaccines will undergo safety testing in placebo-controlled trials prior to licensure — a radical departure from past practices.”
“Except for the COVID vaccine, none of the vaccines on the CDC’s [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] childhood recommended schedule was tested against an inert placebo, meaning we know very little about the actual risk profiles of these products,” the spokesperson added.
Japan Issues Alert as Deadly Kidney Failure Surges in Covid-Vaxxed
Japan has just issued a warning after some of the country’s top scientists uncovered direct links between COVID-19 mRNA “vaccines” and surges in deadly kidney failure. Dr. Yukako Umezawa, a professor at Japan’s Juntendo University Urayasu Hospital, led a team of researchers to investigate alarming spikes in the onset or relapse of glomerular diseases.
Glomerular disease is a condition that causes serious damage to the kidneys.
The disease attacks tiny filters in your kidneys, called glomeruli, where your blood is cleaned. Glomerular disease can often go undetected for many years as it causes no symptoms until the damage begins to emerge.
The disease causes serious health problems such as high blood pressure (hypertension), nephrotic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, kidney failure, and ultimately death. Dr. Umezawa and his colleagues are raising the alarm over their findings as they warn of a “ticking time bomb” scenario among the vaccinated population, as many are unaware that they have contracted glomerular disease after receiving an mRNA injection.
What a Shocker: New Study Confirms That Huge Number of ‘COVID Deaths’ Weren’t Even COVID Related
Many of the extreme, overbearing policies and mandates enacted during the COVID-19 pandemic were based on the underlying assumption that COVID-19 was a uniquely dangerous threat. COVID-19 would lead to the deaths of young, healthy people, necessitating the complete shutdown of society, endless mask mandates, school closures, and closing down small businesses while allowing Wal-Mart to remain open.
Oh, and forcing businesses to close early on the theory that COVID-19 was smart and devious enough to know how to spread more quickly and efficiently late at night.
As the “expert” and medical communities, led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, reorganized themselves around ignoring all other illnesses, risk factors and side effects, their efforts to make COVID-19 the all-consuming focus resulted in labeling anyone who died with a positive test a “COVID death.”
Car crashes, shootings, cancer, heart attacks…all these causes were labeled as “COVID deaths” by the medical community, which then called anyone who noticed and pointed out the absurdity of this practice a “conspiracy theorist” and “COVID denier.”
Well, now we have more research confirming, yet again, that the actual reality denial came from the experts who created that absurdist policy. And their media partners and defenders who played along.
US Government Secures Production, Supply of Freeze-Dried Jynneos Mpox Vaccine
Danish drugmaker Bavarian Nordic announced today that the U.S. government has placed a $144 million order for a freeze-dried version of its mpox vaccine, which can also be used to prevent smallpox. The freeze-dried formulation of the Jynneos vaccine was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in March. It will be easier to store and transport, and has a longer shelf life, than the liquid-frozen formulation that Bavarian Nordic has been supplying to the US government since 2010.
The company ramped up production of Jynneos in response to the mpox outbreak that began in 2022. Jynneos was first approved by the FDA in 2019 and is one of two FDA-approved vaccines for the prevention of smallpox and mpox. The options exercised under Bavarian Nordic’s existing contract with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, or BARDA, which was awarded in 2017, are valued at $143.6 million and will support manufacturing and supply of freeze-dried Jynneos starting in 2026.
“We applaud the U.S. government’s steadfast commitment to improving national health security through the exercise of these options,” Bavarian Nordic President and CEO Paul Chaplin, Ph.D., said in a company press release. “The freeze-dried vaccine, with its improved shelf life, provides a significant contribution to securing the long-term availability of countermeasures to protect U.S citizens against life-threatening diseases.”
Moderna’s Combo Covid and Flu mRNA Shot Outperforms Current Vaccines in Large Trial
Moderna’s combined COVID-19 and flu shot outperformed the existing standalone vaccines for both viruses, according to the results of a phase 3 clinical trial published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The vaccine uses the same messenger RNA technology as Moderna’s approved COVID-19 vaccine. (There are no approved mRNA-based flu shots.)
The trial, funded by Moderna, included more than 8,000 adults ages 50 and older who were enrolled in October and November 2023. For people ages 50 to 64, the new vaccine was compared to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine and the flu shot Fluarix. For people 65 and older, it was compared to the COVID-19 vaccine and a different flu shot, called Fluzone, which is a stronger dose typically given to older adults.
The trial participants either got the existing shots, or the new combination vaccine plus a placebo shot. (This way, both groups got two injections.)
