“The irony is, if you remember Thomas Markle, when he couldn’t get hold of Meghan he started doing interviews every six months,” Griffiths said.

“I think the same could happen with Prince Harry,” she added, suggesting the Duke might continue giving interviews if he believes it will help him reach his father.

The royal commentator expressed concern about Harry’s “absolute desperation” to contact King Charles.

She suggested the royal family needs to find a better communication channel, warning: “They’ve got to find a way to communicate because this will keep happening.”

Griffiths supported the King’s apparent decision not to engage directly with his son, calling it “very wise”.

Griffiths was particularly critical of Harry’s comment about not knowing how long his father has left.

“I feel like he said it off the cuff and hadn’t thought it through, but you never know with Harry,” she told GB News.

“He’s quite strategic with these things – but it was an absolutely foolish thing to say, it would have really upset the King and everyone at the Palace.”

She delivered a stark assessment of the impact of such remarks: “It’s the surest way to not speak to his father again.”

Griffiths also lamented that the interview had become a distraction from important royal events like VE Day.

In his BBC interview, Prince Harry admitted he and King Charles are no longer speaking, with the Duke saying he “would love a reconciliation” with the Royal Family.

The interview came after Harry lost a Court of Appeal challenge regarding his security arrangements while in the UK.

Despite the controversy, Prince Harry is set to make a key appearance in Las Vegas tomorrow (May 6), launching a new youth initiative with the Diana Award.

The event coincides with his son Prince Archie’s sixth birthday.
