JUST IN: John Brennan BLOWS UP when confronted for signing letter saying Hunter Biden laptop had all the ‘earmarks’ of Russian disinfo op
“We never said it was disinformation; we said it was Russian influence operations, which is what they do. There’s a big difference.”
Former CIA Director John Brennan blew up at a man when he was confronted at an event about signing a letter in 2020, which claimed the Hunter Biden laptop story had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation” when the expose was published.
The man confronted Brennan about the letter, who grew visibly angry, and poked the man in the chest who was asking questions. “You misrepresented that,” Brennan shouted at Thomas Speciale, who is a national security consultant.
“We never said it was disinformation; we said it was Russian influence operations, which is what they do. There’s a big difference,” Brennan insisted, despite the laptop being very real when it was reported on.
When the man pressed Brennan on the argument, the former CIA director exclaimed, “I’m not going to waste my time with you.”
Speciale posted video of the confrontation, saying that it took place last Thursday, and posted the clip with a screenshot of the letter that was signed by Brennan and 50 other intelligence agents.
“After the conference on Thursday I confronted former CIA Director Brennan directly regarding his signing the 51 Intelligence Officers Memo knowing that the Hunter Biden laptop was real and not Russian disinformation. Watch his response,” he wrote in the post.
When the New York Post published the bombshell article about the Hunter Biden laptop in 2020 ahead of the election between President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden, 51 intelligence agents signed a letter, pushing back to undermine the accurate reporting on the “laptop from hell.”
“There are a number of factors that make us suspicious of Russian involvement. Such an operation would be consistent with Russian objectives, as outlined publicly and recently by the Intelligence Community, to create political chaos in the United States and to deepen political divisions here,” the agents claimed in the letter.
After the story was published, however, it was blocked and suppressed on social media platforms such as then-Twitter and Facebook. Notably, evidence from the laptop was later used in the federal prosecution of Hunter Biden as evidence, further proving the laptop story to be authentic.
