Elon Musk has said that he will be suing over a Jamaal Bowman segment on CNN after the former US House member said he was a “Nazi” and a “thief.” Bowman also called Musk “incompetent” in the segment surrounding DOGE and Musk’s activities in the federal government.

Bowman, who served two years in Congress but was then voted out of office in New York’s 16th District after moderate Democrat George Latimer won the seat, told a panel on CNN that Musk is “incompetent” and then cited court decisions ruling that the Trump administration was ordered by courts to rehire federal workers that were fired.

“The American people do not trust Elon Musk, and Elon Musk is incompetent in his position. And how do we know? Because they fired tens of thousands of people. It was challenged in court. The court said the people have to go back, and now the people are coming back. He’s incompetent, he’s a thief, he’s a Nazi, and people don’t trust him.”

The clip posted on X by Thomas Hern got a reply from Musk, who wrote, “I’ve had enough. Lawsuit inbound.”

Others reacted to Musk’s post, in which he said he would be suing Bowman. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote, “Sue him! Defamation against conservatives can’t go unaddressed, or it will never end.”

The Post Millennial’s Andy Ngo wrote, “Accusing people of crimes is not protected opinion. CNN is putting itself at risk of liability for bringing on guests who repeat potentially defamatory claims unchallenged.”

The comment from Bowman came after the former leader of the Republican Party in New York, Joe Borelli, told the hosts on the panel that many of the protests that have been held at town halls directed at Republicans have been organized by Democratic activists.

Bowman claimed during the segment that the protests were a sign that the American people were angry with Musk. Some reports have revealed that many of the protests at town halls across the country have been astroturfed to an extent.
