OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) – Canada’s state broadcaster is using taxpayer money to fund LGBT-charged children’s programming via its YouTube channel.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), which receives about $1.4 billion a year in government funding, runs a YouTube CBC Kids channel. The channel has a show titled The Fabulous Show with Fay and Fluffy, which features drag queens who talk with kids through music and storytelling in what appears to be a way to push the LGBT agenda.

While the CBC for years has championed Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) policies, the broadcaster has been promoting “gender identity education” targeting very young kids.

When it comes to The Fabulous Show with Fay and Fluffy, one of the men dressed as a woman says to viewers, “Everyone can be whoever they want to be — boys, girls, or something else entirely! And that’s what makes us special.”

Another video, which is for kids ages 5-8, goes over being “non-binary” or having no gender.

“Some people don’t feel like a boy or a girl — they are non-binary. That means their gender is somewhere in the middle or outside those words,” the video states.

What makes the videos concerning is that bright colors and images are used to attract kids’ attention.

In another video, an animated boy can be heard saying, “I like to wear dresses sometimes and pants other times because it makes me happy.”

The CBC’s own 2022–2025 Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Progress Report says that when it comes to kids’ programming, “that its children’s programming reflects the diversity of Canadian society, including gender diversity, to foster understanding and acceptance from a young age.”

“We will continue to develop content that creates safe spaces for all children, including those from LGBTQ2+ families or those exploring their own gender identity,” the report reads.

LifeSiteNews has reported extensively on how the CBC for years has used taxpayer money to promote drag queens and the LGBT agenda to kids.

LifeSiteNews has also reported on CBC kids’ videos pushing the LGBT agenda before.

Taking a closer look at the CBC Kids News channel, there are a host of other videos pushing gender ideology on young kids. One video has the title “Breaking down every letter in 2SLGBTQQIPAA+,” and another is called “Pronouns like she/her, he/him and they/them explained.”

The CBC Kids YouTube channel also has multiple videos that show kids interacting with a puppet called “Gary the Unicorn,” including one video called “Learning About Pronouns with Gary the Unicorn.”

When it comes to how children are raised, a substantial amount of social science literature supports the truth that children are best served by homes with both a mother and a father. Both a mother and a father bring their uniqueness and strengths to the parenting role. By contrast, a homosexual male “couple” would by definition lack a mother, and a lesbian “couple” would be unable to provide a father.

Since 2015, the Liberal government, first under Justin Trudeau and now under Mark Carney, has a history of promoting anti-life and anti-family agendas, including abortion and LGBT-related efforts.
