A Wisconsin teenager allegedly killed his parents in order to “obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary” so that he could assassinate President Donald Trump and overthrow the government of the United States, according to court documents from the Department of Justice.
Nikita Casap, 17, was taken into custody last month and charged with two counts of first-degree murder as well as two counts of hiding a corpse, according to ABC News.
An affidavit from federal authorities said, “He was in touch with other parties about his plan to kill the President and overthrow the government of the United States. And he paid for, at least in part, a drone and explosives to be used as a weapon of mass destruction to commit an attack.”
“Other parties, with whom Casap was in contact, appear to have been aware of his plan and action and to have provided assistance to Casap in carrying them out,” it added. Investigators also found material on Casap’s phone related to the “Order of Nine Angels,” which the FBI has described as a “satanic cult that encourages violence, terrorism, sexual abuse, and child pornography” and has “strong anti-Judaic, anti-Christian, and anti-Western ideologies” that claims to “incite chaos and violence,” per Law and Crime.
The group has also been characterized as “a network of individuals holding new-Nazi racially motivated extremist views.” A warrant from federal authorities described a “self-described manifesto regarding assassinating the president, making bombs, and terrorist attacks.”
