BREAKING: ADL RETIRES its Glossary of Extremism 'effective immediately'

“We are moving to retire the Glossary effectively immediately. ”

The Anti-Defamation League has officially retired its “Glossary of Extremism.” This comes after the ADL has faced heavy criticism for including Turning Point USA in the glossary.

In a post to X, the ADL said, “With over 1,000 entries written over many years, the ADL Glossary of Extremism has served as a source of high-level information on a wide range of topics for years. At the same time, an increasing number of entries in the Glossary were outdated. We also saw a number of entries intentionally misrepresented and misused. Moreover, our experts have continued to develop more comprehensive resources and innovative ways to provide information about antisemitism, extremism and hate.”

“At ADL, we always are looking for how we can and should do things better. That’s why we are moving to retire the Glossary effectively immediately. This will allow ADL to explore new strategies and creative approaches to deliver our data and present our research more effectively. It will keep us focused on ensuring we do what we do best: fighting antisemitism and hate in the most impactful ways possible.”

Earlier today, Human Events’ Jack Posobiec put the ADL on blast for smearing TPUSA while running cover for Antifa.

While smearing TPUSA with false and incendiary labels, the ADL simultaneously ran cover for Antifa saying that violence is “not the norm” for them, even though the group has been designated as a domestic terror group. Antifa members have been responsible for a number of violent attacks, including at an ICE facility in Portland and the torching of Tesla cars in various cities.

Earlier today, Human Events ran an opinion piece blasting the ADL: “ADL’s glossary is not just to describe different types of political organizations, but to deliberately paint these groups as extremist groups that intend to cause harm to protected classes or races of people that reside within the United States, with the website describing the glossary’s actions as, ‘nearly 900 terms and concepts used by a wide variety of extremist groups and movements, including white supremacists.’ Out in the open, the Anti-Defamation League is labeling conservative activism amongst the youth as extremist, and now the ADL has blood on its hands.”

The move from the organization also comes after Elon Musk wrote a series of posts on Monday, including: “The ADL has become a far left hate propaganda machine,” “The ADL hates Christians, therefore it is a hate group,” and “ADL sells hate.”

After the ADL pulled the glossary, many conservative accounts posted in response. Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec shared the post from the organization.

Chris Rufo posted in response, “Cool, now take down the rest of the trash.”

The Post Millennial senior editor Andy Ngo said, “The ADL said it was evidence of hate and white supremacy to be critical of Antifa. Antifa are good, they say. Then after Oct. 7, Antifa began waving and marking their symbols and logos to express support for terrorism in Israel. Jonathan Greenblatt, do you take accountability for running cover for Antifa and mainstreaming their extremism?”

The ADL, aside from putting TPUSA on its “extremism” glossary, has previously said that “100%” is racist along with the “ok” sign.
