Federal law enforcement agents staged a dramatic show of force outside the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday night, deploying an unmarked van in a surprise tactical operation reminiscent of a “Trojan horse.”

At least three Antifa-affiliated agitators were arrested and taken into custody for a variety of offenses. This comes amid a promised federal crackdown from President Trump targeting the unlawful, ongoing occupation outside the ICE facility as part of the administration’s effort to end ongoing left-wing violence against ICE agents.

After anti-ICE protesters, many of whom are affiliated with Antifa networks, allegedly committed unlawful activity during a planned direct action outside the ICE facility, federal agents spared no time in making arrests.

Officers from ICE, Homeland Security Federal Protective Service (FPS), and Border Patrol positioned themselves on nearby rooftops and in the facility’s driveway, while other federal agents stood watch behind the gates.

Video footage captured by The Post Millennial shows a flurry of federal police officers sprinting out of the facility and into the streets to pursue a target. The suspect was tackled to the ground, apprehended, and placed in detention.

Another targeted arrest was made after federal agents advanced further into the streets. A black clad Antifa mob surrounded federal officers as they retreated into the facility, chanting phrases such as “Whose streets? Our streets!”

After tension appeared to have subsided, ICE operatives conducted a surprise tactical operation to make yet another targeted arrest. This time, federal agents appeared out of nowhere from a white van among the crowd, much as in a “Trojan Horse” operation. A second arrest was made shortly after.

President Donald Trump federalized 200 members of the Oregon National Guard, deploying troops to Portland for up to 60 days to protect federal property and personnel where demonstrations are occurring or anticipated. “At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” the president wrote on Truth Social.

The ICE facility on Macadam Avenue in South Portland has been under siege by protesters since June 7. The area has been the site of near-nightly clashes between agitators and federal officers, resulting in the neighborhood resembling war-like scenes.

Democrat Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek said federal intervention was unnecessary, claiming that the state has the situation under control. However, Portland Police refuse to respond to several blocks on the southwest waterfront, resulting in a lawless zone controlled by agitators who have assaulted, harassed, and threatened those they perceive to be against their cause for the past several months.

President Trump doubled down on his decision to deploy the National Guard on Wednesday, writing in a post on Truth Social: “As I determined on September 27th, when I activated and called into service the National Guard in Oregon, conditions continue to deteriorate into lawless mayhem. Our GREAT Federal Law Enforcement Officers have not been able to enforce the Laws in Oregon. ANTIFA and the Radical Left Anarchists have been viciously attacking our Federal Law Enforcement Officers, men and women who are simply doing their job, protecting Federal Property, and enforcing Federal Immigration Laws and the Rule of Law. We will never allow MOBS to take over our streets, burn our Cities, or destroy America. The National Guard is now in place, and has been dedicated to restoring LAW AND ORDER, and ending the Chaos, Death, and Destruction! We are a Nation of LAW, and we will PREVAIL.”

Trump continued in a follow-up post, writing, “The Governor of Oregon must be living in a ‘Dream World.’ Portland is a NEVER-ENDING DISASTER. Many people have been badly hurt, and even killed. It is run like a Third World Country. We’re only going in because, as American Patriots, WE HAVE NO CHOICE. LAW AND ORDER MUST PREVAIL IN OUR CITIES, AND EVERYWHERE ELSE!”

The Department of Justice has federally charged 27 protesters for alleged crimes committed during demonstrations outside the ICE facility since June.
