Prince George and Prince William forging new Royal Family bond in deviation from King Charles

Prince William and Prince George are forging a new Royal Family bond with their shared love of football, according to a royal commentator.
On Wednesday, the Prince of Wales took his eldest son to France to watch Aston Villa’s Champions League match against Paris Saint Germain.
The royals were seen ecstatically celebrating Villa’s opening goal as the Birmingham-based football club took the lead.
However, William and George were left disappointed as Aston Villa lost the first leg of the quarter-final 3-1.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that William and George’s shared passion for football is different to the relationship the Prince of Wales had with his father King Charles.
Fitzwilliams said: “Charles did not project the sort of exuberance that William is passing on to George.
“This is a new persona within the Royal Family, as Charles is of a different temperament.
“That is reflected in the sports you like, but it does take the royal image to a far more informal place, which I think is very good.

“An enthusiasm for a sport that is so popular does help build a connection.”
The Prince of Wales joined football pundits Rio Ferdinand and Ally McCoist ahead of Villa’s match against Paris St Germain to discuss tactics on Wednesday evening.
TV insiders were highly impressed with Prince of Wales football knowledge.
The six-minute preview segment was viewed almost a million times within 24 hours on TNT’s page on X.

During the interview, a stunned Ferdinand briefly paused the conversation to joke: “Can I just say something? Do not go for a punditry job please – because I could be out of a job!”
A royal source revealed: “Prince William absolutely loved the experience and would 100% be up for doing it again. He is a passionate football fan and has really enjoyed following Aston Villa’s success this season.”
The source added that William believes “the beautiful game has the power to bring communities together” and is pleased his appearance received such positive reaction.
An industry source said broadcasters at TNT were “over the moon with the segment and the incredible reaction and would love to have him back.”
