The more we focus on Bellingham the worse it will be. Let Tuchel solve the situation without added pressure from the press and the fans. For me it’s simple. He has flashes of brilliance out-weighed by petulance and arrogance and seems to be an anomaly in the English team spirit.

Can we not look at the positive of JB’s behaviour rather than the negative. No player likes to be substituted. They want to play and contribute. Maybe he didn’t have his best game in an England Shirt. Maybe he knew that and was frustrated.

Thomas Tuchel and Jude Bellingham have history.
Tuchel has previously referred to Bellingham’s on-field behaviour as “repulsive”, something the German later apologised for.

England boss Thomas Tuchel being asked whether Jude Bellingham is possibly not buying into the collective of the England team: “That is a bad impression. It should be about the collective. What we did in camp is all about the collective.
“I have to then review it – I was happy about the goal. I had a quick talk with Morgan Rogers and I was sure that everyone celebrate together. I will have a look at it.
“That is not the image we want to transport. We feel everyone is committed and that everyone accepts tough decisions be it before the match or in the match.”

Bellingham is a young man who has always been told how amazing he is. It will do him the world of good to play for a manager who doesn’t see him as undroppable. Tuchel could be the making of Bellingham if he learns the right lessons.

I think Jude Bellingham is playing like he is under a bit of pressure. I do believe that.
A player of his quality, I think this is the one part of the team that has a bit of a cloud over it.
Not in a negative way, but we’re all asking questions. Thomas Tuchel has got to get the best out of Jude. The way England are playing, take the Bellingham situation out of it, they’re playing some fantastic football.
The Bellingham situation is just the one we’re all asking questions about.

I felt Jude Bellingham played like a player who was playing for his place with pressure on his shoulders in a position he hasn’t played in before in an England shirt.
There was a feeling that Bellingham would be a starter for England for years to come. Suddenly, the emergence of Morgan Rogers and the way he fitted into the style that Thomas Tuchel wants has thrown up a lot of questions.
We just saw a couple moments of magic – he finds passes which other players can’t find.

I’m concerned that Tuchel will drop Bellingham and all the build up will be about who is not there, and it will destabilise England. Just like it did with Gazza and Hoddle.

England boss Thomas Tuchel, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live about Jude Bellingham: “He has to accept it, he has to accept it. We should not make more out of it than it is. [Morgan] Rogers was not happy when he couldn’t start today because he deserves to play, and he wants to play all the time.
“We gave him a bit of a rest because he came with a lot of minutes playing at club [level] and played for us against Serbia. I also don’t want to make more out of it. I stick to my words – behaviour is key. Decisions are made, and you have to accept it as a player.”

England manager Thomas Tuchel on Jude Bellingham’s behaviour before being subbed: “I have to review it. I saw he was not happy, I don’t want to make it bigger at the moment than it is.
“To a certain degree, if you have a player like Jude that is so competitive that never likes it.
“My words stand, we are about standards, level and commitment to each other and respect to each other.
“We will not change our decision just because someone waves their arms.”

Thomas Tuchel said “behaviour is key” and that he “will review” Jude Bellingham’s unhappy reaction at being substituted during England’s World Cup qualifier against Albania.
Bellingham started his first England game since June in the 2-0 win in Tirana but was visibly irritated at being replaced by Morgan Rogers in the 84th minute.
The Real Madrid midfielder, who had already been booked, gesticulated with his arms that he did not want to be substituted.

Jude Bellingham is furious that he is coming off the pitch. He is looking at Thomas Tuchel to say, ‘Why? Why am I coming off?’ He is absolutely livid.
He is not happy, but he has done the right thing. He has walked off and shook the manager’s hand.

England head coach Thomas Tuchel speaking to ITV about Jude Bellingham looking frustrated at being substituted: “Yeah he didn’t like it but no-one likes it. But that’s how it is, Morgan [Rogers] didn’t like to be out and didn’t deserve to be out but that was the decision. Jude was also on a yellow card and I made the decision before the second goal and the decision stands.”

Lots of positives around Harry Kane this morning then but what about team-mate, Jude Bellingham?
The Real Madrid midfielder has been making headlines again overnight, this time for his reaction to being substituted on Sunday evening.
Here’s what his manager has had to say on the matter…

Harry Kane plays every minute of every game because he does the job.
Playing for his country means a lot to him – it is a pleasure to watch him.
I thought England were top draw tonight. The manager is in a fantastic place going into next year. It was hard at times, but the subs that came on were outstanding.

England skipper Harry Kane, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: “First and foremost, to win eight out of eight and to score 22 goals and concede zero is credit to all the boys – all the lads that have been part of every squad so far.
“Obviously, from a personal point of view, I’m really happy to get a couple of goals for the national team and help the lads out.
“Another night where we needed the guys off the bench to come on and make an impact. We’re going to need every player to come on and do their part if we’re going to be successful next summer.
“The last few camps have been incredible to be part of. To finish in the manner we have done is exciting. I think he [Thomas Tuchel] is sad he is not going to see us now for four or five months.”

‘The squad is as good as we have ever had’published at 07:36 GMT

England
England captain and goalscorer Harry Kane, speaking to ITV: “It was a really tough game, one of the toughest we had in the group. We had to be patient and grind them down which we did and we ended up with a 2-0 win and another clean sheet.”
On set-piece success: “First half we did outswings then when Saka came on, we know how good he is with the front post so we went front post, got a bit lucky with the flick on but thankfully I was there to put it away.”
On impact players: “If you want to go far in any tournament you need a whole squad, you need players who don’t start, to come off the bench and make an impact, that’s what football is about. It’s not just the 11 that play, the boys come on and make a difference.”
On the quality of the squad: “It’s as good as we’ve ever had. We’re going to go into the tournament as one of the favourites and we have to accept that, it’s been like that the past few tournaments now and that’s part of it. We’ve been building, had a great year together with the new coach and it’s now to 2026.”
