DNI Tulsi Gabbard reveals ‘treasonous conspiracy’ orchestrated by ‘Obama White House’ to link Trump to Russia in 2016
“I am providing all documents to the Department of Justice to deliver the accountability that President Trump, his family, and the American people deserve.”

DNI Tulsi Gabbard declassified documents on Friday that revealed “overwhelming evidence” that the Obama administration had “manufactured and politicized intelligence” in an attempt to hurt President Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election. She said the “documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people and try to usurp the President from fulfilling his mandate.”
“This betrayal concerns every American. The integrity of our democratic republic demands that every person involved be investigated and brought to justice to prevent this from ever happening again,” said Gabbard.
The intelligence community had stated that Trump was not working with Russia, but Hillary Clinton, Obama, and the Democrats ran wild with the story that Trump was colluding with Russia to steal the election. The documents read that the IC assessed that Russia “probably not trying…to influence the election by using cyber means.” DNI under Obama, James Clapper, said at the time that “Foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the US presidential election outcome.”
“Americans will finally learn the truth about how in 2016, intelligence was politicized and weaponized by the most powerful people in the Obama Administration to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump,” Gabbard said, “subverting the will of the American people and undermining our democratic republic. Here’s how:” She then laid it out in a series of posts.
The documents released by Gabbard show that after the 2016 presidential election, President Barack Obama “laid the groundwork for what would be the yearslong Trump–Russia collusion probe,” reports Fox News.
The document, given to Obama in December 2016, reads, “We assess that Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent US election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.” It goes on to list various attempts at interference in voter registration databases that were not successful and that “Criminal activity also failed to reach the scale and sophistication necessary to change election outcomes.”
“We have low-to-moderate confidence in the Russian Government’s involvement because of our uncertainty about its utility for a state actor, a lack of observed effects from the low-profile operation, and the actors’ use of obfuscation techniques, which included substantial overlap with criminal actors using similar targeting patterns and tactics,” it reads.
“For profit cyber criminals and criminal hackers tried to steal data and to interrupt election processes by targeting election infrastructure, but these actions did not achieve a notable disruptive effect,” the document states.
The report states that “US election infrastructure will remain a target of growing interest for both foreign adversaries and nonstate actors during the next four years, with designs for compromise of election-related networks, theft of data, as well as disruptive and potentially manipulative activities enabled by cyber means. We assess that actors intent on covertly altering vote outcomes would, at least in part, target electronic voting machines to achieve such goals. The most likely cyber operations will probably continue to be those designed to steal data or disrupt electoral processes.”
The document goes on to discourage, essentially, the use of new voting technologies such as “cloud-based information technology infrastructure, electronic poll-books, ballot-on-demand printers, and online voting systems,” as these would “increase vulnerabilities.”
